Fraternal Greetings Brethren!
I would like to start by congratulating Worshipful Brother Terrence S. “Terry” Fulton on being elected as the Illustrious Potentate of Rameses Shriners. Congratulations and have a successful term. We know you will do an excellent job.
On Thursday, January 9th, we conferred the 1st degree on Bro. Armando Toossi. Congratulations. A big thank you also goes out to all the Brethren who assisted in the degree. At the conclusion of the degree I conducted a brief educational reading from Penetrating the Veil by M.W. Bro. David C. Bradley, Past Grand Master – Chapter 7: To Try and Adjust His Jewels – Rough Ashlar.
Instead of our emergent meeting on January 23rd, 2014 we supported Toronto West District by attending the District Theatre Night. It was a wonderfully done production of the musical “Annie” at Meadowvale Theatre. It was an excellent evening for all the brethren and their families and friends that attended.
At our upcoming Regular meeting on Thursday, February 13th, we will be conferring the 2nd Degree on Bro. Peter McCullough. Worksheets for the degree have already been sent out.
At our Emergent meeting on Thursday, February 27th, we will be conferring the 3rd Degree on Bro. Ryan Reid. Worksheets have been or will be sent out soon.
I look forward to greeting each of you at our Regular Meeting on February the 13th and our Emergent Meeting on February the 27th.
Brethren, if you have any comments or suggestions about the Flower City website (bramptonmasons.com), please let me know. All feedback is welcome.
Please let me or the Secretary know if you would like to be advanced to the next degree so we can plan accordingly. If you require any assistance in advancing, please let me know so that we can make it a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The Social Committee is planning a BBQ at the conclusion of our June meeting (I promise, no degree for that meeting). They are also planning for Novemberfest, a February 2015 Valentine’s dinner/dance and other fun activities. Looking forward to another Chilli Challenge or Best Ribs.
Finally, to our sick and shut-in Brethren, our thoughts and prayers are with you, and please do not hesitate to contact me or any officer of the lodge if we can be of any assistance. If you require a drive to lodge, please let us know and we will make arrangements.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
W. Bro. James Leutri
