Message from the East – January 2014

Greetings and Happy New Year, Brethren!

I trust you all had a safe, enjoyable and relaxing Christmas and Holiday Season and time well spent with your families. 2014 looks to be another busy year for Flower City Lodge.

I will be looking for reports from the various Committees at our upcoming meeting. I will be looking for a report from the Cornerstone chairman and where we are in obtaining the designation of a Cornerstone Lodge. Brethren, also, please take the time to give blood. Toronto West District is part of Partners For Life – MASN011134 – use this number to sign-up so that each of your donations count towards Toronto West District. Your family and friends can also use this number. Remember to let your Lodge Blood Donor Chairman know that you have given the gift of blood. Telephone and Social Committees how are we doing? Stewards committee – great work in assisting the Junior Warden – I am sure he really appreciates all the help. If you have any questions, please contact me.

On Thursday, December 12th, we conferred the 2nd degree on Bro. Shantanu (Shan) Singh Kumar. Congratulations. A big thank you also goes out to all the Brethren who assisted in the degree.

At our upcoming Regular meeting on Thursday, January 9th, we will be conferring the 1st Degree. Worksheets for the degree have already been sent out.

Instead of our emergent meeting on January 23rd, 2014 we will be supporting Toronto West District by attending at 8:00 PM the District Theatre Night. It will be the production of musical “Annie” at Meadowvale Theatre. Tickets are $20 each – come out and support the District. All are invited – family and friends.

I look forward to greeting each of you at our Regular Meeting on January the 9th.

Finally, to our sick and shut-in Brethren, our thoughts and prayers are with you, and please do not hesitate to contact me or any officer of the lodge if we can be of any assistance. If you require a drive to lodge, please let us know and we will make arrangements.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

W. Bro. James Leutri
