I would like to welcome everyone back and hope that you and your families had a wonderful and relaxing summer break. We have a busy schedule for the rest of the year with degrees, presentations, Official Visit, social events and education. We will continue where we left off before the summer break with our excellent teamwork and education.
I would like to congratulate V.W. Bro. Steve Ellstrom on being appointed as Grand Steward. All of his hard work as secretary and being a cornerstone of Flower City Lodge No. 689 have led to this honour being bestowed upon him. Congratulations Steve! V.W. Bro. Steve Ellstrom’s reception and presentation of regalia is scheduled for Thursday, November 28th – please join us for this special event.
At our upcoming Regular meeting on Thursday, September 12th, Bro. Jarod Leutri and Bro. Nick Ramputty will be proving their proficiency in the Fellowcraft Degree and if successful, they will have the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason conferred upon them. There will be some education in the third degree and then some additional education prior to close of Lodge.
At our Emergent Meeting, on Thursday, September 26th, we will be presenting a 60 year pin to Bro. Robert Moote as well as several 25 year pins. Brethren, please mark this date on your calendars and make a point in coming out and supporting your long serving Brethren. Our District Deputy Grand Master and the Deputy Grand Master will be in attendance for this occasion. We will open lodge, receive Grand Lodge Officers, and call off, allowing family members of the recipients to attend the presentations. We encourage all able to be there to attend as an opportunity to meet new friends and renew old friendships.
Between our Regular and Emergent meetings, we will also have an additional Emergent meeting on Saturday, September 21st to confer the Entered Apprentice Degree on multiple aspirants.
I look forward to greeting each of you at our Regular Meeting on September the 12th.
Finally, to our sick and shut-in Brethren, our thoughts and prayers are with you, and please do not hesitate to contact me or any officer of the lodge if we can be of any assistance. If you require a drive to lodge, please let us know and we will make arrangements.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
W.Bro. James Leutri
